Boat Handling & Training

At Safe Skipper WA we like to ensure that you are 100% confident when heading out on the water. Before attempting your theory and practical test for your Recreational Skippers Ticket, we recommend that you are competent in boat handling skills.

At Safe Skipper WA we don’t just want to send you off with a bit of paper, we truly want you to be comfortable on the water with your family and friends.

We will be able to let you know how your skills compare to the RST assessment standard. When choosing a professional trainer/assessor, remember to consider more than just the price of lessons. At Safe Skipper WA we offers the following:

  • A planned training program.
  • Structured lessons where the instructor will show you what to do, explain what is required in a way you easily understand and then let you practice at your own pace.
  • Feedback on how you are doing.
  • Tips for correcting mistakes.
  • A quick review of your progress at the beginning and end of each task.

Getting your skippers license can be fun, easy and be done in one day. Each persons skill levels are different, so we have developed several options for you to chose from.
